18Middle School Camp is the week of June 26 – July 2, 2016 at Shenandoah Meadows in beautiful Fort Valley, VA. We are going to be learning about The Epic Story and how it applies to us. Chapel, Worship Teams, Devotionals, Small Groups, Fun, Games, Crafts, Camp Fires, Swimming Pool…  Sign up by May 1st and it is $150 After May 1st it is $175. Youth Service Project – Another Chance Church April 17th 2016
 
Thanks to all the youth for helping with our service night and helping cleanup Another Chance Church and painting the front windows. You all were great and showed great stewardship of the Lord. Great things are happening at Grace Downtown Youth Ministries.
27Saturday April 30 we are having a fund raiser at Sweet Frogs from 5-9 PM.
 
Sweet Frogs will donate 20% of the evening profits from everyone who mentions our church “Grace Downtown Booneville Trip” or gives them a flyer.

FREE Prom Dress Giveaway April 1st & 2nd 2016
 
We have been very fortunate for the past four years to help hundreds of girls attend prom in, and around the Four State area with their needs. Our goal is to provide dresses, shoes, and accessories to any young lady in High School FREE of charge. This will be our fifth (5th) year in continuing the mission of assisting these young ladies, and families.

35Grace Downtown of Winchester is asking folks to bring in a can of soup or two or three or however many they want to donate to a local food pantry.   Bring your non-perishable food can to church for collection.
 
We’re encouraging folks to wear a foot ball jersey to kinda be festive for Super Bowl Sunday.  See you there!

Upcoming Classes
36Do you struggle with managing money?  Do you have questions about money management or creating a budget?
Grace Downtown will be sponsoring a Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University class in the beginning of the new year.
 
Starting Saturday January 9th at 10:00am at Brewbakers and continuing each Saturday for 9 weeks.  There will be prayer, large group discussion, Video message from Dave Ramsey, and small group follow up for each week’s lesson.
 
Child Care availability will be available!!
Costs – There is a cost of $93.00 to pay for membership kits that each family will receive.  The kit includes several items to help you learn the program and maintain what you have learned long after the class is over.  (See graphic below)

39Christmas Party for Children in Foster Care     
 
Grace Downtown of Winchester is partnering with Frederick Douglas Park Club (FDPC)
 
Each year FDPC “adopts” children in foster care to provide them a Christmas Party with gifts, games, food and Santa!!  (BTW – FDPC is looking for a Santa).  This will benefit children in foster care from Winchester and Frederick Co Social Services, Winchester Day Nursery and Apple County Head Start
 
FDPC have asked us if we could provided a gift card for each child. $10 limit on each card.  We need to collect 70 gift cards.  We are asking people to purchase a $10 gift card to some place general – like Walmart, Target or just a VISA card. Or if you prefer you can donate $10.00 and Grace Downtown will purchase the gift cards.
 
All Gift Cards and or money is due to Misty Fields, no later than November 29th, 2015!!

Advent Family Workshop
An Advent candle is a candle marked with the days of December up to Christmas Eve.(ref)  Adults will make an advent candle hold.  Children will have a craft of their own to complete.

41Salvation Army Bell Ringers
 
We are volunteering time to ring the bell and collect Kettle donations to the Salvation Army.  We will be outside Hobby Lobby on November 21st.  1hr and 2hr shifts are available.  Multiple people can “work” the same shift.  Come and be a blessing to the Salvation Army and all they do for our community.
